If any of these things happen then the central support centre will be notified, and information will be automatically sent to them in relation to the situation that is occurring. The staff at this centre that receive this information will then either contact you as the home owner (usually by phone), or directly contact the emergency services, in some instances they may do both. This ensures that the response time of the police or fire department is significantly reduced, and they have a better chance of either catching the burglar in the act, or stopping a fire before it has had chance to start.

How low budget burglar alarms can still be enough

If you can’t afford a monitored burglar alarm, and the fact is that many of us can’t, then a low budget alarm may still suffice. The main protection that burglar alarms provide, believe it or not, is a deterrent to would be intruders. If a burglar sees that one home is alarmed, and is right next door to a home that is unalarmed, then their inevitably choice will obviously be the home that will draw less attention after they’ve broken in.
